IT Updates

An upgrade will occur to the server that hosts research and course related web pages from 6:00 to 6:30 pm on Friday, November 20th. Services will be unavailable during this time

The KU IT Knowledgebase will be unavailable during an upgrade from 12:01 to 4:00 a.m. Monday, Nov. 23rd.

eCommerce services will be unavailable from 1:00 to 3:00 a.m. Monday, Oct. 19th during the established maintenance window by the vendor. Any eCommerce service using QuikPay will receive a maintenance window as QuikPay is accessed.

There will be an update to the authentication service for KU Online IDs from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. No service interruption is anticipated.

There will be an upgrade to storage from 5:00 p.m. to midnight on Tuesday, Nov. 24th. No service outage is anticipated.

There will be a 5 to 10 minute interruption to the SAS application on DEMIS between 8:00 and 9:00 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 29th. SAS licensing will be updated during this time.

The password change problem has been resolved.

If you changed your password between 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19th and 3:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 20 and you are experiencing problems with your password, you will need to follow these instructions:
1) go to Forgot Your Password?
2) answer your challenge questions
3) enter a new password

If you continue to experience problems with your password, please contact the IT Customer Service Center at 864-8080.

Password changes on myidentity.ku.edu that took place after 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19th were not processed. IT support staff have been working with the vendor to restore the ability to change passwords. We are currently synchronizing the data on the identity servers and anticipate that this will be completed by 10:00 a.m. Friday, Nov. 20th. If you are experiencing problems with your password, please contact the IT Customer Support Center at 864-8080 for assistance.

There will also be a brief interruption of 5 minutes during maintenance to the server that hosts personal and organizational web pages. Users will be unable to upload web page information during the interruption which will occur between 5:00 and 6:00 a.m. Friday, Nov. 13th

There will be a brief interruption of 1 minute during maintenance to Exchange mailboxes for Online IDs that begin with STV-ZZ or end with 904-999. This interruption will occur between 5:00 and 5:15 a.m. Friday, Nov. 13th.
