Blackboard is a course management system available to all KU instructors, enabling them to post learning materials, communicate with students, create online quizzes and assignments, and manage course data.

The 2-hour Blackboard Strategies and Tools workshop provides an overview of almost every tool and feature in Blackboard. Participants will explore the system from a technical viewpoint (i.e., what buttons to push) as well as discuss several instructional ideas and tips for using Blackboard to improve student learning (i.e., why you'd want to push the buttons in the first place). KU policies and procedures related to Blackboard accounts, copyright, and intellectual property will also be reviewed. Handouts and materials are provided. Click on one of the upcoming workshop dates and times listed below to register. These sessions are held in a group setting of no more than 8 participants. Time will provided, at the end of the workshop, so that Blackboard courses can be created for participants.
