KU Prairie Winds Concert (Concert)

KU School of Music proudly presents the Prairie Winds concert at 1:00 p.m. on Sun. Feb. 2 at the Lied Center of KS. Event is free and open to the public. The Prairie Winds Festival is an opportunity for advanced instruction for outstanding high school wind and percussion performers in a supportive, yet challenging environment. Student musicians from Kansas and across the country will travel to Lawrence to participate in the festival (Jan. 31 " Feb. 2). During the festival, high school students participate in master classes, clinics, chamber ensembles and performances in select wind ensembles by KU School of Music faculty musicians. The festival concludes with a performance by high school participants for family, friends and the community at 1:00 p.m. on Feb. 2 at the Lied Center of Kansas. The event is free and open to the public.
