Osher Institute: The Dust Bowl Revisited (Seminar)

Stunning film footage along with eyewitness accounts will document the Dust Bowl of the 1930s that devastated areas of Kansas, Oklahoma Texas, New Mexico, and Colorado. The course will examine economic and land use mistakes that created the greatest manmade ecological disaster in our history and FDR government's actions to reclaim the land and restore the livelihood of the people of the Dust Bowl. The course also discusses lessons learned and asks the hard question: Is another Dust Bowl possible?
